Sometimes we learn through classes, sometimes we learn through teachers, sometimes we learn from friends, sometimes we learn from listening, sometimes we learn from teaching, sometimes we learn by reading, sometimes we learn by singing, sometimes we learn the easy way, sometimes we learn the hard way. I'm learning.

I both love and hate being home for such a short amount of time. A week is significantly better than a weekend but still not quite long enough in some aspects and in others overly long.  So far only good things =)
Friday night Matt and I got to my house around 10:30 and after carrying all my stuff up and down the respective stairs he went home to take his philosophy test and Mike, Brett and Sarah came over. I fell asleep on the floor while they were here (I didn't get much sleep last week due to papers, presentations, and my normal life including procrastination) so they woke me up and sent me to bed on their way out.
Saturday was glorious because the weather was amazing, I got to sleep in and then around one or so I left for Shamrock Fest with Mike, Jon, Little Jon and Chris (Mike's friend from school). We heard a band I didn't know - Burnt Sienna - and they were actually pretty good, several cover bands, Jimmy's Chicken Shack who were amazing!, Carbon Leaf - they were pretty good but we only hung out in the back cause at that point we hadn't sat down in several hours and Flogging Molly who was amazing!! The boys did a good job at taking care of me. Mike pulled me out of a mosh pit or two, Jon grabbed my hand to keep from losing me on the metro, Chris helped me finagle my way through crowds and even Little John let me hold onto his sweatshirt so I didn't lose them. I was completely out of my element but it was amazing! I had such a blast!
Sunday I managed to oversleep for the second service...yeah I was pretty tired hehe but I made it after I picked up a pretty lady named Sarah . After church she and I grabbed some big ol'burritos from Chipotle and hung out at Nike eating and talking. I knew I missed her but oh my goodness I didn't realize how stinking much till I got to have her to myself for a while. Then we went back to my house and Sarah wanted to watch Sound of Music so she did that while I darkened Jess' hair. I fell asleep during the rest of the movie. We grabbed dinner from Wendy's and went over to her parents house (after I managed to pull my CD drive completely out but Len was able to fix it!! )
Monday was a pretty sweet shopping trip in Annapolis with five lovely ladies. I bought some new board shorts so I won't always have to borrow Hill's and a very late Christmas present for one of my "secret loves" (please people its a joke calm down). After arriving home from that trip around ten Mike, Brett, Dan and eventually Murray came over. (I think I needed a lil less estrogen as much as I love you ladies!!)
And today is Tuesday and I am heading out to lunch with Cathy and then some errands. I also went to Black Hills with two cool kids today for a few hours and then we watched Brett wash his car. Caregroup was great, God speaking to me about a few things from there. By the way I am pretty stellar at Round Robin hehe.
Not so good at the burping sadly hehe. Then it was off to stargze for a while with a Duck and a Mur oh so good!!

Colds are no fun but I think I am finally on the way to killing this one after a day of rest today with no classes or work...we'll see how it goes

Well...lets see...break was amazing! Seemed long and I didnt do much but I wasn't bored. Back at school I have 17 credits (earth science and lab, organic chem and lab, educ 225-lesson planning, creation studies, hist312 - era of the american rev, and economics 110)and I just got a job so I'm also working about 20 hours a week and of course I am still a prayer leader so life is pretty full. I am praying for grace to not become overwhelmed. This week is rather difficult because aside from today I pretty much start with either classes or work at 8 and end classes or work at 6 and because its Spiritual Emphasis Week I also have church type meetings Sunday-Wednesday (yeah I know SEW didnt start till Mon morning but we had a leadership thing Sun night) so that takes up about another two hours to my day. (Its good stuff which is why I go of course but it also makes me realize how short 24 hours can feel some days (like Monday when I left my room at 7 30am and didnt come back till 9 30pm)

Prayers would always be helpful but specifically for my heart. We have curfew at midnight every week night and normally I head to bed about an hour later. But two or three times this week I was out cold before room checks because my heart had exhausted me.

Aside from being a lil homesick from time to time (ok maybe a lot homesick - practically feel like a freshie sometimes) life here is good. I sometimes forget how much I love people down here. They are amazing!

Well I dont work on Wednesdays so I'm gonna take advantage of that at the moment and take a lil nap or somethin' before dinner.
